DESCRIPTIVE TEXT
 
What is Descriptive text?
According to its name “Descriptive Text” so it’s a kind of text which explains something in detail or specific. We usually use it to describe something, a particular person, or animals of course in detail.

Usually in descriptive text,
There will be three generic structures:

1.       Title
Title is the name of the object we want to describe completely.

2.       Identification
It’s a brief explanation about what we want to tell and it usually exists in paragraph one.

3.       Description
The description is a text explanation in very detail or specific or we can say that in this part we can find the complete description of the thing.

The purpose of this text is to describe something in specific or in detail.

As you know that in Descriptive text we use:
A.      Simple Present Tense
You can see the tenses in previous topic of The sixteen tenses

B.      Action or Active verb

Here are Example of Descriptive Text:

 1. Cat Bugel
We know, most cats look so cute and clean, so is my cat. My cat's name is Bugel. My cat's named Bugel because she lookes so cute, especially with its tail and makes me always want to hug him and hug him every day. Do you want to know about my cat? 

 Bugel has gray fur and white, it is so soft. Bugel has beautiful eyes, he also has sharp teeth and of course makes me scared. The whiskers in his mouth makes funny. However, although he looks very cute and funny, when he's angry or want to catch prey such as mice, it is very scary for me. Claws are sharp and seem so long. His voice sounded like a tiger. I never approached him when he was angry. That is about my cat, Bugel. Do you have cats like me? Show me your beautiful cats to me next time.

       2.  National Monument

Monas,  National Monument is a 132-meters tower in the center of Merdeka Square, Central Jakarta, Indonesia. Jakarta is the capital city of Indonesia.
 It symbolizes the struggle for Indonesian independence of our country. 

                The monument consists of a 117.7 m obelisk on a 45m square platform at a height of 17 m. Towering monument symbolizes the philosophy of Lingga and Yoni. Resembles a phallus, or pestle mortar pestle and Yoni resembles rice or mortar, two important things in the tradition of Indonesian agriculture. The Monument Construction was began in 1961 under the direction of President Sukarno, the first president of Indonesian Republic and the monument was opened to public in 1975. It is topped by a flame covered with gold foil, and now the monument is very familiar called Monumen Nasional or National Monument.
